Some countries and email providers seem to have problems with receiving italki emails. We're trying to resolve this issue. The only other suggestion we have is to sign up with another free email provider (like gmail, yahoo, etc.).

Re: Site Redesign – Focusing on Languages

hi i am new arabic teacher if anyone intrest with arabic learning please feel free to contact me on italki.

Re: Site Redesign – Focusing on Languages

I feel there have many chinese peoples want to join your group, but its difficult to find your website and we can not talk with language change person directly, there have not some information like MSN,SKYPE,.......

Re: Site Redesign – Focusing on Languages

-Regarding to this concern

RnR, Eventually we plan to make your homepage even more of an aggregator of your italki activity, like a lifestream of all your italki actions--that's why the Blackboard and Q&A have been integrated, because we've started moving in that direction. If you think they should be separated, please explain why.

-in my opinion it would be more comfortable to separate them to be more organized and easily to be read all comment board in it's own stream as of the Q&A. The menu change is intended to direct you to what you language you're trying to learn and the resources available on italki to help you learn it.

Re: Site Redesign – Focusing on Languages

RnR, Eventually we plan to make your homepage even more of an aggregator of your italki activity, like a lifestream of all your italki actions--that's why the Blackboard and Q&A have been integrated, because we've started moving in that direction. I like the older version better , it was easier to see which one of your language partners were online , also it was easier to navigate through the site , although some of the changes are more convenient , I think overall the older version was a little more suitable , now if you could figure out a way to combine the two , I think it would make the site much less complicated .

                                    Thanks , Mike J.

Re: Site Redesign – Focusing on Languages

The changes was quiet good, however the blackboard and the Q&A were mix together, hope you could re-organized the blackboard part and the Q&A part. In general, the default will change if you change what type of language resources / partners / teaches you're searching for. In general, the default should be the language that you're learning (based on your profile). Let us know if you continue to run into this.

Re: Site Redesign – Focusing on Languages

Hi Stephen --- we'll look into the video option on the profile page. We'll be modifying that as well in the coming weeks.
We thought there were a lot of functions that were being obscured in the previous version. Try using the new layout, and let us know if you still think it is worse than before. Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Site Redesign – Focusing on Languages

We think that should be a CSS cache issue.
